euphorbia trigona (african milk thistle)

a little about me…

the euphorbia trigona originates from south africa and is a great investment.  she's a slow grower, but can reach heights of 6-7'. 

don't be afraid if she starts to lose leaves!  this is normal and usually indicates a change in season or a growth spurt.

the euphorbia loves sun and needs about 4 hours of direct sun per day and bright light for the rest.  this would be a great plant for a sun room or under a grow light.

although it is very similar to the cactus, it does need a bit more water.  let the soil dry out about 80-90% before watering.

nicknamed the african milk thistle because, when cut, it excretes a milky substance which causes extreme irritaion.
