Paul Scherer has stunning, purple-black, egg-shaped flowers with an interior ivory base covered by a lilac veil. It blooms about two weeks before Peony Flowering Tulip Black Hero and Single Late Tulip Queen of Night. Some say that this sultry charmer is even darker than the Queen. Triumph Tulips are known to be good for forcing.
