monstera deliciosa philodendron
a little about me…
Monstera deliciosa is recognizable by its large, glossy green leaves with deep splits and holes. It is a climber in its natural habitat, using its aerial roots to cling to large trees, so you should provide it with moss-covered support sticks or a trellis!
s u n
Monstera deliciosa thrive in filtered, indirect light, and can be grown outdoors in a shaded location during warmer months. Too much harsh sunlight, however, can result in scorching. Though it can exist in lower-lighted rooms, your plant may not develop as many large, dramatic, famously perforated leaves.
w a t e r
Water when the top quarter of the soil feels dry to the touch.
h u m i d i t y
Since it is a tropical plant, regular misting to increase humidity is appreciated!
t o x i c i t y
All parts of the plant are toxic to people and pets, except for the ripe fruit.
