pileas are ideal for new growers, as they require very little water and are self-propagating! the pilea spruceana is native to subtropical and tropical regions of brazil and peru.

it thrives in medium to bright indirect light.  the leaf color is dependent on how much light it gets!  closer to the window, your pilea will become variegated with silver and green, less light will get you mostly green leaves.  

w a t e r

the norfolk friendship plant prefers to stay moist. let the soil dry out only an inch or two from the top!  it benefits from bottom watering.
