Lithops, sometimes called living stones, are a type of succulent. Mother nature engineered these little guys to be tolerant of low-nutrient soil and extreme weather conditions.

As with all succulents, over-watering is going to be the main problem that you run into. When watering succulents, give it a good, thorough soak, and place it in a sunny windowsill to dry out. Most succulents will start to shrivel when they are thirsty, which is a great indication to look out for to help ensure that you never over-water!
